The Weekend Emergency Assistance Program (WEAP) provides food, hygiene, infant care items and referrals for additional resources to those in need.
The WEAP program helps singles and families with food items, six times within a twelve month period. This program is the only available resource to families in the Las Vegas area on weekends. WEAP supplies enough food for three meals for three days per person.
On the 4th Saturday of each month, our church provides volunteers at the two WEAP locations. If you are interested in helping with this ministry on the 4th Saturday, please contact the church office or for any other date please call UMSM (733-0053) in advance.
To Donate:
Items are collected during the 5th Sunday food drive by placing the donation by the parked car. The packages are collected by the Men of Faith and taken to the mission facility. You can also donate directly to the ministry.
